Front Cover of music magazine
This is my final front cover image. I have decided to keep the name of the magazine and the focus of James Wollcott however I have altered a few things from my initial planning as a result of my , for example the layout and title of the exclusive on James has been changed from 'The next Ed Sheeran' to "I performed for Ed Sheeran and still no one remembered my name". This makes the magazine more realistic as many upcoming artists have experienced that type of issue, futhermore a quote from an artist sparks curiosity towards the story they are talking about.
I have also changed the top line of my magazine from my initial idea of "one step ahead of the mainstream" to "real music-real people-real records", I thought that this was catchier and the repeated R's make the title of the magazine stand out more and rememberable. Something is more likely to sell if it is remembered. Despite my changes I have kept the key publications of my magazine, for example; Rita Ora, Guitra review 'Fender vs Gibson' and the breakdown of this summers top festivals. However I have also added another artist 'Azelia Banks' who became an instant success from her song 212 and an exclusive look at a new album from a new band 'The Weeknd' who had previously reserached. I also included a new music top 20 which was something requested within my reader questionnaire. |
